Engineered to hold as much as 20 gallons, the Hobart SDPS-11 salad dryer can withstand high-volume loads. To dry off water from freshly washed salads, the unit spins at 406 rotations per minute, which won't damage other ingredients. Its gear drive is permanently lubricated to ensure smooth operation over time, and it's supported by a ¹⁄₄-horsepower motor with a thermal overload. For consistency, a 5-minute timer is implemented on the tub's top.

The Hobart SDPS-11 salad dryer's outer tub is made of stainless steel for durability, resisting corrosion in humid environments. Its base is made of a fully sealed polyethylene base to ensure a secure mount throughout use. To contain spillage, the motor has a stainless splashguard that's easy to clean after use. Lettuce can be loaded into the polyethylene spin basket, which is furnished with hand grips to lower and remove the basket as needed. Supported by lockable casters, this unit can be moved throughout facilities as needed, and it can be secured in place during operation. Overall, this unit measures 24.5 inches wide by 23 inches deep by 31.38 inches high.
